The Overseer. Designed with the following client specs:

An ancient god-like creature that looks over a tiny village hidden deep in in a tropical jungle, similar to Hawaii or the pacific islands. Must feel old but nimble, capable of movement as the creature walks through the village overseeing the protection of the villagers. Can have some clothing , but more ceremonial, this creature is above the need for clothing for protection or warmth. Very Colorful pallet. Very animalistic features. Try versions that feel more mammal and land based or maybe a version that feels more aquatic. The creature is roughly 10-14ft tall and can be multi limbed but not asymmetrical.

‘Protection for an island" called into my mind the idea of coral reefs. Barrier reefs protect from storm surges, provide food, and protect form invaders. Following the reef motif also fulfilled the “very colorful pallet” spec, allowing me to experiment with bright hues that are naturally found in corals and tropical fish. To imply that these beasts are old, I explored prehistoric and Devonian feeling animalistic features, to create beings that seem forgotten by time itself. These creatures can both walk and swim, option A is primarily built for land locomotion, but can also navigate the seas though not as adeptly. While option B is the inverse, being primarily build for swift swimming, and walking on land being more difficult.
